Let’s keep the two game winning streak alive.

I love the reverse retro sweaters!!!

At this stage, what I am looking at from the team is overall improvement. And we have seen that in the last few games.
I’d like to see the team gel, as a team. I think we have seen that in last few games.

Let’s hope we continue to build on the recent special teams success. Consistency is the key with this team.

Blackwood and Bastian will be out for some time. Zacha will be back today for the 1pm afternoon tilt.



A few observations I have from last few games , I’d like to hear your comments.

PK Subban has played better. Last game vs the Pens was his best overall game in some time. I also like the emotion and intensity over last few games. I am. In the camp that I don’t mind having him on the team as with Palmieri and wouldn’t mind having him on the team for another year.

Vatanen is improving. We need some value when we trade him.
I would like to see some young d in the pipeline get some ice time. That will be after Kulikov and/or Vatanen get traded.

McLeod/Bastian unsung heroes. Just love the role they have carved and delivered. The Devils can alternate who flanks them over the next few years.

Hughes continues to develop on the ice and confidence. I have noticed a lot more puck control and confidence of late. It’s obvious he’s getting pushed around like a rag doll when his speed can’t get hi:out of man to man situations. But that’ll develo, both in body bulk and hockey smarts, over time.

Zacha. Is this what the Devils expected since drafting him? Yup. Can it continue? We shall see.

Sharangovich I am very happy with. A gem for the Devils as we knew the potential. We didn’t know how well he’d adapt and blend in. He’s played almost every situation. I see Kuznetsov written all over him.

Palmieri. I am torn on where I see Palmieri. I would like to see the Devils try to ink hi:to a 2 year deal. I think he adds a lot to the tram overall and hope he feels the same. He is, however, in a huge funk and has looked out of place. I can see more confidence in his game. But not enough.

Bratt with 12 points (1g 11a) I need to see more. Not sure if he’s a 3rd or 2nd line winger on the depth chart.
On the other hand, Koukkanen would be the flip side. I think they are both fighting for the same position on the depth chart.
Then we haven Johnsson, who is in the mix.
The Devils need then to grab the reins as we have others in the pipeline who will challenge those middle wing positions.

We need Hischier, Blackwood and Bastian back. But this team has played better when injured and on the fence. Players have stepped up.

We need to address Blackwood’s future backup. Not sure how much Wedgewood and Dell factor into the Devils longer term plan. I think that answer may be done with a trade. Cormier and Senn in the minors are not the answer. And Nico Daws is years away from being a factor.

I also feel, at this stage, the Devils need to make steps towards next year. Now.

Excited to see the green and Red Devils. Can this be our permanent third uniform? jersey socks, pants and helmet
