Travis Zajac signs a one day contract to retire as a Devil. Class act.

Zajac is and always will be a Devil. Period.

On and off the ice he was consistent and a model player who represented the Devils sweater proudly. A first round pick in the 2004 draft, 20th overall, played all but last year for the Devils.

1,037 regular season games
203 regular season goals
552 points
344 penalty minutes
Another surprising stat... he has never won a Cup.

Zajac will remain with the Devils organization in a player development consulting role. No better model for this young team.

Cheers to a great career.

Thank you Travis!

Truly yours,
