I've been thinking about what to say about the Leafs and Panthers game four. And nothing comes to mind, Toronto did nothing, outside of a parade to the penalty box. Panthers with four power plays in the first period to the Leafs, zero, was the game. Toronto could not get any momentum going, nothing, the first period sucked the life out of the Leafs. Now it's 2-2, headed back to Toronto for game five. Say what you will about Woll, game five was not on him. And how about a Toronto forward hasn't scored since 2:52 of the second period in game three. Where was the offence to put that game away when it was 3-1? Where's the killer instinct? bury them. Then a total no show by the entire scoring contingent in game five. Now they have two days to think about what they've done. Time for personal reflection. You can't fault goaltending, when your elite forward offence puts up a bagel in over 100 minutes and counting.
As far as discipline in the series, yeah we know how that goes. Domi fined $5000, probably worth it. No discipline on the hits on Stolarz and Marner. Does this honestly surprise anyone? The four power plays for Florida in the opening 20 minutes set the tone and the expectation for game four. Good teams ignore the BS, improvise, adapt, overcome. Leafs didn't.
