Tonight (April 6), the Vancouver Canucks will be going up against the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks. Heading into the contest, the Canucks have lost four straight, and they will be aiming to put an end to it against a far weaker opponent in the Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks are currently tied with the Anaheim Ducks and Columbus Blue Jackets for the fewest points (56) in the NHL. This is notable, as they each are hoping for the best odds to land Connor Bedard. The Canucks, on the other hand, sport a 34-36-7 record and have 75 points on the year. Thus, this is a very winnable game for Vancouver, and a loss would be pretty disappointing. This is especially so with the Canucks playing at home tonight.

The Canucks have had success against the Blackhawks this season as well. On Jan. 24, the Canucks defeated Chicago by a 5-2 final score. Vancouver then followed that up with a 4-2 win over them on March 26. Now they have the opportunity to complete the season sweep over Chicago and end their losing streak in the process.

Canucks Projected Lineup

Forwards

Line 1: Andrei Kuzmenko, Elias Pettersson, Anthony Beauvillier

Line 2: Phil Di Giuseppe, J.T. Miller, Brock Boeser

Line 3: Dakota Joshua, Nils Aman, Conor Garland

Line 4: Aidan McDonough, Sheldon Dries, Jack Studnicka

Defensemen

First Pairing: Quinn Hughes & Kyle Burroughs

Second Pairing: Akito Hirose & Tyler Myers

Third Pairing: Jack Rathbone & Ethan Bear

Goaltender: Thatcher Demko
