After suffering a tough 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Vancouver Canucks are looking to get back into the win column against the Montreal Canadiens.

While the Habs are rebuilding, they are not a team to take lightly. They currently have a 7-5-2 record, so they have been far from bad. They most notably beat the Boston Bruins last night (Nov. 11), so they are heading into this one with plenty of confidence.

The Canucks, however, still should expect to leave this contest with two points. They are among the top teams in the Western Conference and are due for a bounce-back game after their loss to the Leafs.

Let's take a look at what the Canucks' projected lines are. Please note that they are subject to change:

Mikheyev - Pettersson - Kuzmenko
Di Giuseppe - Miller - Boeser
Joshua - Suter - Garland
Blueger - Lafferty - Beauvillier

Hughes - Hronek
Soucy - Myers
Cole - Friedman

DeSmith

Canuck to Watch: Casey DeSmith

DeSmith is certainly a player to watch in this one. The New Hampshire was briefly a Hab during the offseason but, of course, would be dealt to the Canucks before the start of the season. So far, with Vancouver, he has been an effective backup, posting a 3-0-1 record, a .919 SV%, and a 2.82 GAA. Now, let's see if he can keep this kind of play up against the team that moved him before he even played a game for them.

Hab to Watch: Tanner Pearson

Old friend Tanner Pearson will be in the lineup for the Habs tonight. The 31-year-old winger has had mixed results with his new club. The former Canuck started his Habs tenure with five points in five games. Since then, he has had just one assist in his last nine games. Will he wake up against his old club? We will need to wait and see.

Canucks Predictions

Prediction #1: After being held off the scoresheet against the Leafs, I'm expecting a goal from Boeser tonight. He has been on fire this season, posting 11 goals and 16 points in 14 games.

Prediction #2: As noted above, DeSmith is going up against the Habs, and I see him having a big performance because of it.

Prediction #3: Pettersson has been Mr. Consistent this season for the Canucks. He is currently on an eight-game point streak, and I expect that to change to nine tonight.

We will now need to wait and see if the Canucks beat the Habs from here. Let your final score predictions be heard in the comments!
