As these Stanley Cup playoffs continue to move along Sam Bennett stock continues to fly higher and higher and higher. Two more goals last night, make him the leading goal scorer in the playoffs. And it’s nothing new as he’s been dominant in every playoff he has been in so far for the Panthers.
There’s not a team in the NHL that wouldn’t love to take a run at him this July 1. It’s still uncertain, whether or not he will get to free agency before extension in Florida, but as the price goes higher and higher, it gets more and more likely that he does hit the market. We’ve already had one GM say he would pay $10 million a year…..
In the regular season, he’s more of a $6 million player. In the playoffs he’s an $11 million player.
He’s a center with an attitude, who obviously thrives in big game situations.
So who wants him?
