Game 33 Preview: Flyers vs. Blue Jackets

John Tortorella's Philadelphia Flyers (10-15-7) will host Brad Larsen's Columbus Blue Jackets (10-18-2) on Tuesday evening. Game time at the Wells Fargo Center is 7:00 p.m. ET.

The Flyers are 3-5-2 over their last 10 games while the Blue Jackets are 3-6-1. Both teams are riddled with injuries. Columbus is playing its third game in four nights and the second game of a back-to-back set after losing at home to the Dallas Stars, 2-1, on Monday. The Flyers are beginning their own set of three games in four nights before the league break for Christmas.

Kevin Hayes will re-enter the Flyers lineup after being a healthy scratch against the New York Rangers on Saturday and sitting on the bench throughout the third period of last Thursday's 2-1 upset win over the New Jersey Devils. Wade Allison is expected to be activated from IR and dress for the game after missing the previous 18 games with an oblique strain and hip pointer injury. Zack MacEwen, who missed the Rangers game due to illness, is also good to go.

Carter Hart will get the start in goal; his 11th in the Flyers' last 12 games. Daniil Tarasov got the start for Columbus in Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins and last night's game against Dallas. It is likely that Elvis Merzlikins (4-8-0, 4.68 GAA, .864 SV%) will get the start in this game. Joonas Korpisalo remains on IR with a lower-body injury.
