The Carolina Hurricanes have announced contracts for two more players yesterday, signing forwards Ryan Dzingel and Stelio Mattheos each to one-year contracts. Each deal carries a $750,000 cap hit.

Dzingel split the season between the Arizona Coyotes and San Jose Sharks, scoring five goals and eight points in 32 games total. The forward is 30 years old and has played 404 career NHL games. He also played 75 games with the Hurricanes between the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

Mattheos is 23 years old and was originally selected by the Hurricanes back in 2017. This past season, he scored two goals and 10 points in 59 games with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves.
