KHL coaching staffs are changing like the leaves on the tree during the fall season. Two more have been dismissed during the KHL's international break.

First, one to fall was Dinamo Minsk's, Gordie Dwyer. It was his second season working with Belarusian team. Alongside Dwyer, his whole coaching staff that included Konstantin Kolcov, Sergei Stas and Andrei Kudin were booted forcing them to now be on the lookout for a new job.

"Team is in need for radical changes so we decided that we have to change our coaching staff which then should give an impulse to our players to perform better'' said the press release announcing the firings.

This was Dwyer's 2nd KHL team - he previously worked with Zagreb ''Medvescak'' team which has already left the league to play in Austria.

Minsk team is slotting last in the Western conference earning 16 points in 25 games.

It did not take long for them to find a replacement - just days later Andrei Sidorenko who is the head coach of the Belarussian national team was named the new head coach for Dinamo.

Meanwhile ''Severstal'' Cherepovets who had a decent start have also booted their long-time head coach Alexander Guljavcev.

45-year old coach began working with the team prior to 2016/2017 KHL season and led his team to playoffs in the previous season.

The good start wasn't enough as Severstal hit a wall and started dropping games eventually leading to four losses in a row meaning that a change had to be made. Recently team waived former NHL'r Zach Boychuk who apparently hadn't performed to their standards and now it was time to switch up the heat on coaches seat.

Although Pavel Torgaev had been named as the replacement he has received only interim tag as the team continues their search for a full-time head coach and the options are big. From Peteris Skudra to perhaps one of the former Team Russia coaches - Olegs Znaroks and Harijs Vitolins are also without a job after parting with SKA St.Petersburgh and Team Russia earlier this summer.
