7th week of KHL regular season has concluded and we have new names earning the honors.

The best goalie was Danny Taylor (Sibir Novosibirsk), who allowed only one goal in two games last week, with a shutout against Dinamo Minsk. The Canadian netminder saved the 98,39% of the shots towards his crease with a goals-against average of only 0,48 (both figures are the overall best in the week).

The best defenseman was Mathew Maione (Dinamo Riga), who had two away wins with his team in three games, scoring three (1+2) points, ending the week with a plus-1 rating. The Italo-Canadian defenseman also had seven shots on goal, blocking two shots from the opposition. To date, Maione is leading the KHL scoring race with 24 (6+18) points.

The best forward was Sergei Mozyakin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), who had two wins in three games with his team last week, including two road games, scoring four (3+1) points. The veteran Metallurg forward scored a double against Avangard and was the author of the game-winning goals in that game and the match against Severstal Cherepovets. Mozyakin posted no negative ratings, earning a plus-1 for the week, with 12 shots on goal.
The best rookie was goalie Ilya Konovalov (Lokomotiv Yaroslavl), who had a shutout in the Thursday's game against Admiral Vladivostok. It was Konovalov’s third shutout in the season. Last week, he posted a saves percentage of 96,72 with a goals-against average of 0,96.
