Hey gang – wanted to pop in with a new blog that I promised you guys yesterday. It was a crazy work/life/rumour day, so I posted my update on the message boards instead.

If you missed it, here it is:

So the "weirdness" thing has to do with Bowman and Crawford.

Bowman, to me, sounds like he's staying as I've heard that he's been giving the reigns to move guys (bigger than Lance Bouma).

According to my guy, Stan is getting the green light and being able to make "different" type of moves that he's accustom to based on the fact that this is his first true "seller deadline". Ie. he wants to get super creative and can help teams out to a certain extent.

Seguing into Crawford, I heard that he may be placed on the LTIR to make room for a team to send over a player with a large cap hit. That would allow said team to add a big piece on Monday.

Further to that, the Hawks on the ice had a win last night, 3-1 vs. the Sharks. Good for J.F. Berube - he looked solid. I'm also really liking that Cat-Schmaltz-Duclair line. It's chemistry like this that is exciting to see as the Hawks aim to be better next year.

In other rumour news, as reported by JJ, it looks like Columbus' interest in Anisimov is gaining steam. If Stan can drive up the price, that would be ideal. After seeing what Derek Brassard brought back (I know he's on a shorter deal for less money) than Stan might be able to get a solid return for AA.

Well, it better be solid because, as I stated before, be careful what you wish for dumping a guy like AA. The Hawks C depth is not particularly strong these days.

However, if Jenner or Murray are the type of (realistic) pieces coming, that could be a win for Stan.

Ironically enough, the Hawks take on the Blue Jackets tonight. Will AA be staying in Ohio tonight?

I'll pop back in if I hear anything else.

See ya out there.

JL
