Video: Former Caps player Galiev suspended for spearing

Stanislav Galiev did an ouch to an opposing player and now has been suspended.

KHL's Disciplinary Committee has announced that they reviewed an episode in the game between HC Dynamo Moscow and AkBars Kazan teams. At games 57th minute, AkBars Stanislav Galiev was penalized for the penalty under rule 537g (Slashing). Was awarded a major penalty and automatically awarded a game misconduct (5+20min).

Now that means Galiev was subject to a one-game suspension which KHL has decided to award, also including an unspecified money fine.







Since leaving North America, Galiev has participated in 15 games, scoring two goals and recording 4 assists (6 points). He has also gathered 37 penalty minutes and a +/- of 8.
