Many are saying that since the Leafs owe $4 Million to Kessel on July 1 no one will take him before then....Not necessarily the case I am told.
The Leafs don't want to wait until July 1 on this...not because of the money, the money doesn't matter to MLSE. They don't want to wait because when it comes to signing UFAs and making other deals they really need to get Kessel out (and know what they are getting in for him) in order to make some strong decisions on July 1...
We all know how fast players go on July 1. To wait to get this deal negotiated after then could spell disaster...
The Penguins, Coyotes, Kings and Ducks are all possibilities I am told.
He WILL be traded I am told.
