OK, I like this deal. I’m just gonna say it.

I’m a Cam York fan. I believe it ever since he was the captain of his world, junior team, and I do believe his upside potential is enormous. With the salary cap going up I think this is a steal of a deal for both sides actually. It takes a long time for defenseman to develop, especially on teams that are struggling, but five years is enough time for Cam to develop into all I can be, and enough time for the Flyers to get a top pairing defenseman at a discount….

This leaves the flyers with only a little bit of $1 million of cap space, however, the trading market in the NHL is still bubbling over and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Flyers still find a center out there and possibly a solid defensive defenseman…. also remember that the Ellis contract will be on LTiR and that would look it up a lot of space

I’m back this week full-time and I will be looking at some players that they could be reaching out for, and some players they expect to make big jumps….

The team is coming into focus and I do believe they’re already heading the direction that’s very positive… what are your thoughts?
