First off, some of you want to know what is going on with Captain Silence a/k/a Mike Richards.

He's mad at the media and giving us one, two-word answers. He didn't like some of the stories written recently about Joffrey Lupul.

Anyway, if you check out CSNPhilly.com and go to last night's game story, you will find the complete text of his post-game comments after the Flyers 4-3 shootout win against Boston.

That the captain is not talking to the media should send up red flares in Flyerdom at a time when the club is trying to find its game.

Frankly, aren't there more important issues at hand during this homestand than what the media writes about Lupul?

Sam Carchidi's blog in the Inquirer today offers a more complete explanation.

Bottom line? This is much ado about nothing.

We should point out, this is not a team-wide boycott of the media.

John Stevens changed his lines completely around again today ... trying to Simon Gagne going. Simon has never gone 7 games into a season without a goal. He is desperate for one.

Gagne is now being centered by Claude Giroux with Ian Laperriere on right wing.

Scott Hartnell is struggling, as well, even though he has a goal. All these new lines are laid out in my story on CSNPhilly.com.
