THE LIGHTNING HAVE AGREED TO TERMS WITH MALONE AND ROBERTS. Jon Jordan (who has been doing an amazing job covering the Lightning) is reporting what I am hearing as well...

Malone: 3 years @ 5.2 Per
Roberts: 2 years @ 1.1 Per

This is far different than Sportsnet's contention that the Malone deal is seven years.

(Did the Lightning go from being the worst team in the NHL to the Southeast Favorite in the last week...Really LOVE what they are doing!)

UPDATED 2:30:

TSN is reporting that the Flyers have signed Eminger.

From Last Night...

A fellow Swedish Hockey Star/Legend just told me that he firmly believes that Mats will indeed announce his decision about Montreal and he believes that he will indeed be signing with the Canadiens.

I also just talked to another source tonight who feels that Mats will be giving an answer tomorrow to Montreal...

Again, the word is Mats is "really impressed" with Bob Gainey and how he has handled this situation to this point.

"Mats is still deciding if he wants to play another year or two" I was told.

However players will tell you the indecision about retiring rarely ends with NOT retiring. If you are going to retire, you pretty much better KNOW you want to end your hockey career.
