This past Red Wings season had a lot of good moments. As painful as the post season miss was, we saw Raymond get to another level, Larkin broke 30 again, and Tampa had a rough go as Detroit found their scoring. Of course, there are clips of Kane and not enough can be said as to how blessed the fan base was to see him on the ice.

There are good things happening, and last year was all about adding goals. They certainly accomplished that. Now, keep them out of the net. That’s going to require a step up from defense as well as consistent goal tending. We’ll talk more about that later, but the net minder situation has already taken a bit of a hit. Husso may be on the shelf, but Lyon has another year. Lyon got hurt in the IIHF tournament but it may not be as serious. It sounds like his hand was stepped on by a skate during a scrum.

So, as we watch the pieces move around, please give yourself time to enjoy some of this. The season is long and it’s easy to forget some very fun moments. Enjoy!
