Monday came with some massive news out of Calgary, as the Flames have confirmed that they are moving on from head coach Darryl Sutter.

The move to fire Sutter, who returned to the franchise in Mar. 2021, comes with his $8 million extension set to kick in on July 1.

Calgary's decision to move on from Sutter leaves the Flames without both a permanent general manager and a head coach. As of right now, there is word on the status of the rest of the coaching staff.

Exciting times in Calgary. Stay tuned for more.
