I have nothing against Conroy but I do wonder if a more experienced GM would be better for the team.

Hopefully this will keep Lindholm from completely ignoring extention offers here.

I agree they go with Love. Not sure who the GM will be.

It would be great if they decide to retool/rebuild while they still have a lot of assets of high value. Losing JG, Gio, Brodie, Monahan, and Bennett for peanuts was pretty much the end of this team being competitive.

For those that say they have too many long-term contracts that are too expensive, the Flames can always eat some contract on those guys, and both Kadri and Hubs would remember how to play hockey pretty quick to help a trade happen.

Also Buffalo was rebuilding whilst paying Skinner insane amounts of money,

I’ll say this one more time, Sutter will be behind the bench to start the year, hopefully Mitch Love is at his side.
There’s no way that the Flames extend him for 2 years @ 4 /year to see him sit at home.
As far as the players that are supposedly not wanting to come back to play for him, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. When they start missing the $ they will quickly change their tune.
This team badly needs some new blood in the pool, bottom 10 finishes would guarantee that.
I’ve been a Flames fan since 1980 and we’ve had probably 10 years of watching a really good team. It’s time to change that.

Ya I was wrong, didn’t think Edwards would eat 8 mil but I guess now that he doesn’t have to pay as much for a new barn, he can afford it.
