The Hawks wrapped up their west coast swing against the Ducks and it seemed like they forgot what time the game started. It was a miserable start for the team as they went down just 19 seconds into the game against one of the worst teams in the league. After allowing two goals in the first 11 minutes, the Hawks seemed to wake up a bit and where able to take control of this one.

3 Stars of the Game

3rd Star Arvid Soderblom
Picking up where he left off Soderblom kept this team in the game while they tried to wake up and figure things out. He made big saves and stopped 39 of the 41 shots he faced. He continues to impress and really make a case to become the top guy.

2nd Star Max Domi
Max has been having a bounce back season, he finished the night with two assists and 53% in the face-off dot.

1st Star Jarred Tinordi
The hard hitting defenseman stepped up big on the offensive side of things putting two pucks in the net including the game winner.

Next Up Carolina Hurricanes

The Canes come into this one with a 9-5-1 record, which puts them third in the Metro. This is a team who a lot of people picked as a cup favorite, so some will say this is a disappointing start. Their last game saw them lose 4-1 to the defending Stanley Cup champion Avalanche.

Players To Watch
Martin Necas 7 goals 12 assists 19 points
Andrei Svechnikov 11 goals 6 assists 17 points
Sebastian Aho 7 goals 10 assists 17 points

Projected Starter
Antti Raanta 3-2-1 2.47 GAA .911 SV%

When it comes to the Hawks expect Dickinson to draw back in to the line up after missing last game do to illness. Also expect Mrazek to be back in the crease following up a stellar return from injury against the Kings.

Puck Drop is tomorrow 7:30 Central back at the Madhouse.

One more quick note, this Wednesday will be the 200th episode for my podcast and we happen to have Hawks Legend Jeremy Roenick on the show for an amazing interview.
