The Anaheim Ducks were swept in their two-game series against the St. Louis Blues, losing the second game of the series last night by a score of 4-1.

The Ducks had a great start to the game and were completely controlling the play in the first period. They went up early but then had several chances where they missed the net, hit a post or were denied by Ville Husso. Defensively, the Ducks had a pretty alright game. As the game progressed, the play evened out but the Ducks still weren’t giving up a ton of quality chances, as they’ve done in other games this season.

That said, there were some defensive breakdowns and John Gibson had a rough night as well. He was looking a bit slow, like he was off his game, and wasn’t the goalie we’ve been seeing early on this season.

Despite the score, it wasn’t really all that poor of a game from the Ducks. There were some defensive issues but there weren't a high number of great chances given up and if Anaheim could’ve managed to convert on some of their opportunities early on, maybe it would’ve been a different game.
