The Los Angeles Kings have announced their 22-man roster for the upcoming NHL season, shown below.

FORWARDS (13): Mike Amadio, Andreas Athanasiou, Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter, Carl Grundstrom, Alex Iafallo, Adrian Kempe, Anze Kopitar, Blake Lizotte, Matt Luff, Trevor Moore, Gabriel Vilardi and Austin Wagner

DEFENSE (7): Mark Alt, Mikey Anderson, Tobias Bjornfot, Kale Clague, Drew Doughty, Olli Maatta and Matt Roy

GOALTENDERS (2): Troy Grosenick and Jonathan Quick

TAXI SQUAD (4): Lias Andersson, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Austin Strand and Matt Villalta

In addition, Martin Frk and Alex Turcotte are both injured, while Kurtis MacDermid, Cal Petersen and Sean Walker are designated as ‘unfit to play.’

It's also worth noting that both Carl Grundstrom and Matt Luff were named to the roster. Both forwards have been trying to win a full-time spot for a while now and this might be their chance. In addition, two key defense prospects, Tobias Bjornfot and Kale Clague, also made the roster.

Prospects Quinton Byfield and Arthur Kaliyev were also sent to the minors today. Both are still CHL eligible so if the OHL season does get started, we can imagine they would return to their junior teams.
