You can take a look at my thoughts on both the final training camp scrimmage as well as how I view the Central Division lineup for this season. Brome and Namestnikov have been very pleasant surprises. Ryan was, unfortunately, injured. John Merrill, Troy Stecher and Gustav Lindstrom also made good impressions. Christian Djoos will be interesting to watch going forward.

A little surprised to see Svechnikov waived, but injuries kept him out of much of camp. I will be updating this blog as I hear more about any pickups or transactions.

It appears that Svechnikov is among the Detroit waivers. It’s both equally surprising and understandable. You can’t hold a roster spot for someone who’s not been able to play or participate. I’m curious on whether someone will take a chance on the elder Svech.
