Got the Day Off? Watch Some Hockey! Coyotes vs Predators

The Coyotes take on the Predators looking to put a stranglehold on the series today.

The game, unfortunately is at 2:30 my time, which means if you're a Coyotes fan, it's going to start at 11:30.

As much as five games per day is cool on the weekends, the mid-day game is pretty crappy if you have to work.

Now, if you're a Phoney, this is going to be trouble. You can't very well tape the game and be surprised if you're constantly looking at your nightmare rectangle.

One of the reasons I am so conceited is that unlike most people, I barely look at my phone. I certainly don't do it in public, and never while anyone is watching.

So, I shouldn't have any trouble not finding out the score before quitting time. However, if, like most people, you're addicted to your phone worse than the worst crackhead is addicted to the rock, you're gonna be in trouble.

In goal today is obviously Darcy Kuemper, who was essentially the only reason the Coyotes won on Sunday.

I haven't been able to find out if Schmatlz will play, but if not, expect the same lineup.

Hopefully though, one that doesn't feature Brad Richardson getting more 5v5 ice time than Taylor Hall.

And regardless of penalties, 5v5 is where you need to win the game. It would be better to play Richardson more on the power play than Hall less at 5v5.

Not that the Coyotes don't have much better options than Richardson, but you get my point. (And for the 3% of you who don't please exercise your rage issues accordingly, and remember, everyone who disagrees with you has never seen a hockey game before, so go easy).

As to all those penalties called in game one, I hope we see more of that. That is how an NHL game should be called.

You know what else we need more of? Redemption stories like Robin Lehner's, and players kneeling for Black Lives Matter - which is not a political issue, but a human rights issue.

Personally, I'd like to see the entire Coyotes team take a knee. After listening to Matt Dumba on Saturday, how could you not?

Have a great day and enjoy the game.
