This will be short - very brief, in fact. A number you out there in hockey land seem to think that I defended Randy Jones' hit on Patrice Bergeron.

I did not. But Bergeron - and every player _ has to accept responsibility for their own actions and bending over 4-5 feet from the back boards on a dump 'n chase is stupid! He knew he was going to get hit. He made himself vulnerable.

Randy Jones is the least violent player on the Flyers. This is not Jason Smith who attempts to bury people into the stands when he lines 'em up. This is Randy Jones. There was no intent to injure.

Jones hit him at precisely the same time that Bergeron bent over.

Anyway, many of you think I've become an apologist for the Flyers. The link below is Bob McKenzie's take on this, which is very similar to mine.

Maybe some of you will believe McKenzie ...
