The Blue Jackets took a ton of heat last year for "Going for it" and trading for players for a playoff run. They weren't even assured a playoff spot when they traded for Duchene and Dzingel....They went on to make the playoffs and make history knocking off the Lightning in 4 games...

The reality was simple, the Jackets knew they were losing Bobrovsky and Panarin and why not take a shot? Also, beyond that, the Jackets knew they had built an incredibly sound future with prospects and one of those prospects, Elvis Merzlikins, is making Ohio quickly forget Bob...

Yesterday, Elvis recorded his 3rd shutout in 4 games...In fact, only Dallas has given up fewer goals than Columbus.
