Last night the Panthers beat the Dallas Stars 6-0 in a game from Tulsa, OK.

It's a shame the game was blacked out, because not only did the Cats explode offensively, but Monty recorded a shutout. For a tough go so far this preseason, last night would have been a fun game to watch.

The scoresheet looked something like this:

- Anthony Greco: 2 Goals, 1 Assist
- Henrik Borgstrom: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
- Owen Tippett: 1 Goal, 1 Assist
- Mike Hoffman: I Goal (PPG)
- Noel Acciari: 1 Goal
- Frank Vatrano: Assist
- Mike Matheson: Assist
- Troy Brouwer: Assist
- Denis Malgin: Assist
- Mark Pysyk: Assist
- Riley Stillman: 1 Assist and finished with a game-high +4 rating.
- Monty: 20 Saves

Nice to see that Stillman news. I like his game on the backend and last night should be encouraging for him. Greco seems to be making a pretty good case for himself these past couple games. Monty bounced back nicely after coming off a 46-shot loss (in a SO) is also good to see. Even Q was glowing about his performance:

"He was outstanding. A lot of those looks were high-quality, down the barrel, especially early in the game. He looked solid and quick and had good rebound efficiency. He was excellent."

Head over to NHL.com for a really nice breakdown of the five keys to last night's victory.

Cuts

In other news, the Cats announced the other day that they've trimmed the roster down to 32 men, according to their site:

"Forward Rodrigo Abols, forward Jonathan Ang, goaltender Ryan Bednard, defenseman Tommy Cross , forward Joel Lowry , defenseman Jake Massie, forward Kevin Roy and forward Paul Thompson have been loaned to Florida's American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds and are expected to attend Springfield's training camp.

Forward Serron Noel has been returned to his Ontario Hockey League (OHL) club, the Oshawa Generals.

The Panthers training camp roster now stands at 17 forwards, 11 defenseman and four goaltenders."
