Here’s another name that’s going to get a lot of attention over the next couple weeks. Jonathan. Toews. It’s been quite a long time since we’ve seen this one time superstar skate on the ice and hockey game. But he’s been working, and he’s healthy mind and soul and ready to go according to sources..
He’s a center, from Winnipeg Manitoba, so many of thought for a long time that he would return to Winnipeg to try this comeback … but suddenly there’s a lot more talk out there about the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres….
“We know that he wants to be a factor wherever he goes. He’s not coming back to just be a fourth line player,” a source close to the situation was quick to point out.
Were I to pick a favorite right now. I would definitely lean towards the Detroit Red Wings, where he could play with his longtime friend Patrick Kane. Jonathan also idolized Steve Yzerman as a kid., so this fit looks even better…
Some speculated on a return to Chicago, with last year, Patrick Kane even saying that he should go back to Chicago and retire a Blackhawk that he couldn’t imagine Jonathan in anything but a Blackhawk uniform.
But I don’t think there’s a fit there for the Hawks right now .
