While a bit of a fringe piece, the bobblehead as a collectible has continued to draw a steady group of collectors over the years, particularly with its place as a staple of the sports promotional giveaway. Many of us can say we have a few of these quirky little guys kicking around, but there is certainly a sub group of individuals who make these the centerpiece of their collections. One such collector, Bob Manak, has amassed a substantial number of these figures, and sadly, as his now inevitable passing from cancer approaches, he will donate his treasure trove to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum…

The arrival of Patrik Laine in Winnipeg arguably created the most significant sports-related buzz in the city since the return of the Jets to the city just a few years prior. This excitement and enthusiasm has overflowed in a big way to the hockey card market in Manitoba as the ability to chase a top tier rookie as they crack packs has collectors buying in big numbers…
