Stealing rumors from the "dreamteam" huh clouts.

On a side note that Jonathan Willis parody account is freeeeakin hilarious. The real Jonathan Willis makes Cloutier seem a little less like a chump.

Not "stealing" rumors from them. Laughing at how bad they are is more accurate.

He'll be eligible for UFA a month before his 25th birthday that's crazy.

Sign him for 5 years at 4 million.

He's primed for a breakout and it would be killer to save the cap space if he can put up 65 points.

If he stays at the 50 point range then who cares cause that's how much those players get paid anyway..

I have a hard time seeing him get that at UFA.

The oilers have to be careful and not create the image of a team that has decided to play hardball with its young players. Already some doubts about the handling and development of some players. Might be better to change some of the management team rather than begin shuffling players. I like Tambellini and think he should stay.

His numbers have decreased every year from his rookie year, and you want to pay him big bucks. Gagner showed so much potential his rookie year and has been nothing but a disappointment ever since. If it hadn't been for his 2 week tear last season we wouldn't even be talking about him or what his salary should be. Gagner is a smallish average #2 center .......... he fills a hole in the roster, but he is not a long term option. I think the Oil management knows this, I think Gagner knows this and he is just trying to hang on as long as he can. Gagner is destined for a 3rd line C job............

come on dude, haven't you realized by now that you're NEVER allowed to say anything negative, and must only shower oiler players and prospects with praise.

all of their prospects are "can't miss". all of their players are great, and all of their contracts are bargains.

now take your sound logic and accurate statistical analysis and go play somewhere else.

Well it seems that other teams fans find him quite disappointing and seem think he's gotten worse every year. Just shows they aren't paying attention.

if gagner is SOOOo good, then why are oiler fans, and bloggers, and pretty much everyone, SOOOO desperate to include him in every single trade offer.

as for the gagner vs turris debate, perhaps we should wait and actually let turris play a full season with the sens, as opposed to the coyotes, where he butted heads with the coach and as a result didn't actually play much.

It's not about the team that "I Root For".... I can read a stat sheet.

Year Team League GP G A PTS +/-
2011-12 Edmonton NHL 75 18 29 47 5
2010-11 Edmonton NHL 68 15 27 42 -17
2009-10 Edmonton NHL 68 15 26 41 -8
2008-09 Edmonton NHL 76 16 25 41 -1
2007-08 Edmonton NHL 79 13 36 49 -21

His best year was his rookie year. although he showed some improvement last year.... do you really think he is worth 4 Mil for 5 years as you suggested earlier?

If Turis is so much better than Gagner, why has he already been traded? (have to remember the stupid emoticons. )
How long should we wait for Turris to actually become what Gagner already is?

Gagner 220 NHL Points.
Turris 75 NHL points.

This Gagner stupidity just keeps on going.......

Problem is you can't convince anybody that matters that this interpretation has any practical reality. No GM would ever give up Turris for Gagner. On the other hand Turris is probably the second line center that the Oilers need.

Why do Oiler fans want to talk about this?

Just declare a victory. You think you have a great player in Gagner. Nobody is fighting with you. You should be happy. You don't find any Senator fans trying to steal him from you. Not one has offered Turris for Gagner.

Only Edmonton fans keep pushing for the kid to be traded.
