Rumour has it Phoenix is only offering a 1 year deal...maybe Doaner will jump ship and sign one last big pay day. Stock is higher than ever and he would be risking a lot only signing a one year deal in Phoenix, especially considering his age!

I give Shane full marks for wanting to keep his family together in the desert. Honestly that shows real character. Were he to resign in Phoenix I'd give him full marks. His loyalty is to the city of Glendale rather than the Coyotes. If the team were going through hardships but definatly staying I'm pretty sure so would he. But if they got one foot out the door, why spend his last couple years playing for a team that barely gets to the cap floor every year.
