First off phx has to be close to league cap floor so Handle and his contract r not that bad. They r gonna want a boatload for him. The numbers he puts up playing with a strictly defensive team and very few scorers is amazing. Perron, Oshie and A 1st.

I think you may have to throw in Shattenkirk for that to work.

Uh.. mostly right about Yandle... completely off the track about what the blue would have to give.

Is Oshie available if a good deal is offered?

What would the start of said deal look like?

I realize Crosby is a generational talent, but PIT didn't have a problem backing the truck up for him, even with his concussion history. Obviously Perron has shown his dedication to the franchise/city, why would ownership be hesitant to sign him long term?

EDIT: I missed the entire second paragraph... oooppppppsssssss

I especially like Perron's undressing of Mark Streit too

I wouldn't consider Oshie an available player, though you never know what Armstrong might be working on.

They are looking to lock him up into long term deal with plans to keep him here.

as a sabres fan, and a longer time "the blues are one of my second teams" people, i would say that i not only do i love the idea of the blues trading for yandle because it would work out really really well for them, but i believe they do have the extra forwards to throw in with a defensive prospect to get this deal done to make a darn good hockey trade for both teams.

i really hope this happens instead of the flyers or someone else that's awful getting yandle, he's a star and i want to see him go to a good team!

Good to see Perron locked up. He was a great mid season pick up for me in my keeper league! Andy Mac too until he got hurt again

Even with the forward depth on this team I wouldn't be too quick to sell off too much for more D during this off season. There is still a lot of injury history with some of the top 6. I'd like to see how Schwartz and Tarasenko develop first then maybe take a look at what's out there during deadline time. If they strike out there then maybe they can take a run at one of the UFA's for next year such as Edler, Enstrom or White.

There is no point at all in discussing Yandle unless he comes out and publicly requests a trade. Phoenix has every reason to keep him and none to give him up unless presented with a gross overpayment which would create more holes than it would fill.

...stay in St. Louis. Meanwhile, the Blues take Yandle and send Phoenix a few bricks to build their border wall.

This x 2.

I'll go halvsies on the airfare.

First Eric Brewer and now Crombeen. Tampa is to the Blues what Waste Management is to me.

They need a defenseman? I bet Army can give them a great deal on a late model Jeff Woywitka
