I'd take back just about every bad thing I've said about Bowman if he can pull of a trade for Bernier and deal away Crawford. |

Why would the Devils have an interest in Crawford? I know Brouduer isn't going to be around forever so are they projecting him to be their #1 goalie when Brouduer retires.
What kind of return could the Hawks get for Crawford? Interesting.... |

Kane's not going anywhere, Hammer has value around league but I get feeling Stanbo can't fair value and doesn't want to move top 4 Defenseman just to clear cap space. Interest in Crawford???? if that is he case then Hawks should be all ears. what does Hammer and Crawford get the Hawks? no that is good trade question?

From the previous thread:
But if you are talking about getting top talent in return for Kane you are looking at a 1 for 1 deal. Or maybe even the Hawks have to add for guys like Nash or Ryan. I still think this team lacks depth to begin with. I don't see too much improvement just switching out Kane for Nash or Ryan. Sure they add toughness but we would still be lacking a #2 center and other good top 9 players - tomcat24
Sure, maybe it's a one for one deal, or add ons, packages, whatever. The impetus is that you trade a top tier talent like Kane for another top tier talent. You don't trade top tier talent for a bunch of depth.
You add depth to a team through free agent signings, development of players and trades of like players, picks and/or prospects. |

John Jaeckel: Hot Rumors For A Hot Friday - John Jaeckel
I don't know what the Devils could possibly give up. Theydont have a whole lot to offer. Maybe Greene, Tallinder, and Volchenkov plus a guy like Tedenby. Don't know if that would be enticing to theHawks. |

JJ: we seem to have a lot of love (myself included) for the idea of Doan if we could get him. Any rumors that he might be amenable to wearing the Indianhead next year?

What would NJ want to give us for Crawford? Are we talking picks, prospects or something that could help us now? |

Thanks, it`s appreciated
As far as Bernier, I could see him in Chicago, im just not sure Crawford will be the long term solution the Devils may be in search of. I haven`t seen much out of Crawford yet that would lead me to believe he could take a team to the promised land. |
