- Haven’t seen this widely mentioned, but Pred Nation had the honor of witnessing Nicklas Lidstrom’s last NHL game.

We were also able to witness Forsberg's and Hasek's last NHL games as well.

Tim Thomas needs to retire to get his cap hit off the books. He is really leaving Boston in a bad spot right now.

How Laasko sign with the KHL when he is a RFA?

Thomas retiring does zero in regards to changing the implications of his cap hit. The only way the Bruins are not responsible for his cap hit is if he gets traded, then another team is responsible for it. Some team will account for his cap hit this year no matter what he does.

Pretty sure we saw Al McInnis play his last game too.

hes not under contract. the rfa status would prevent him from going directly to another nhl team, but not another league

I didn't think that was true until after the qualification date (June 27). I mean, what happens if Poile decides to qualify him. I can't see Poile doing that being the GM he is but I could see some GM's try.

I hope Suter does resign for the Preds, I really think it will come down to the Preds or Wild for him, I'm not sure he wants to be the guy who replaces Lidstrom in Detroit.

The Kings are putting on one of the most dominant playoff runs ever. Amazing.

I know. I'm blown away. 40 years of expecting bad things to happen to them, and it looks like it's all coming to an end.

I was in Italy last week for game one, and I was up at 2am watching it on my tablet in a darkened hotel bar. The game ended at 5:15am for me, but it was well worth the droopy lids the next day.

The thing I'm frightened by is how few contracts they have ending this year.

Radulov needs to go play hockey in Kazakhstan with Borat. He'd fit in perfect over there. I was hoping that he had grown up some, but apparently he is still an arrogant self-centered turd - just a little older. Oh, the Kings are pretty good. Lol!

I'm sure I'm not bringing any new news, but I haven't seen these things posted so I thought I would share:

1) Rinne was leading the cover vote standings as of 8 P.M. CST last night.

2) Joshua Cooper posted on Twitter that Poile wants to trade the rights to Radulov.
