Even more surprised that last year Long Island projects won $101.6 million of last year’s budget. Wow.
Surprise? I'd say that's par for the course for NYS. In fact, I'd say it's low percentage wise. |

Nothing is better than this series... We need the Rags to lose! Yes I will admit they have assembled a nice team, and are playing good hockey, but nothing will get any worse for this franchise if the Rags win the cup. We as fans have received enough punishment. |

Do you really care that much? I don't get these guys that come in to our blogs and are sooooooo damn concerned with Quebec getting a team? Do you lose sleep at night wondering when Quebec will get a team or whether Toronto will get another one? You care enough to come over here and type these posts obviously but whats your point? Is it patriotism or are you really that interested in attendence figures? Its such a joke on this site how every fan from Canada has an almost vested interest in a hockey team going to a market that already lost their team? Ridiculous |

Isles should make the best deal for Brooklyn. LI wasted all the time and money they had for a new building. Brooklyn is the big time anyway. |

Only thing that is certain is a Canadian team will not win the cup this year. That much is certain... now go back in your hole. |

Quebec will get a team just not the Islanders. The owners want those expansion bucks. |

in regard to the last post about fans attending open practices....the islanders averaged about 8-9k people at a GAME, why would they assume this attendance to watch them practice would be so distracting?
gimme a break!! the organization is so out of touch with the fans. |

Good for them if they win, they built their team the right way. After doing things the wrong way Sather learned from his mistakes. You can't hate them for that, we can only hope for the same. |

Distracting from what?
Oh, I get it.
Instead of coming in 27th place overall. They may "MissRemember" (got that one from Roger) an assignment and come in 28th place!
Damn them fans! Its the fans fault the Isles have been losing.
That huge Home Crowd is way to distracting! |

Good morning Hockey Buzzers. So what is going on? Lets see the Rangers are fighting for another STanley Cup. Matt Moulsons brother in law is on fire and has the Kings rolling. Long Island once again proves how retarded they are politically. It seems everything is all right in the world right now. Oh and by the way Phoenix and Rangers with Phoenix winning in seven.
Rangers will win this series in 7 games with an overtime thriller on a controversial goal. It is 1994 all over again and Bettman and the NHL are loving it. |

They basically had the Sallary cap help them... it forced them to stop trading away their prospects for old over paid veterans. They had to start playing them... They also have one of the best goalies in the league which makes any team look a lot better. Let's not go nuts on what a great job Sather has done. He still has about 10 mill ++ buried in the AHL.. He just happens to have an owner who is willing to spend. |

yeah.. their 2nd in 70+ years.. what a power house organization.
Kings are winning the cup.. eventually someone will start paying attention to them. they are 9-1 in the playoffs and no one is giving them credit. Best goalie, Great defense.. and oh yeah.. Richards, Carter, Penner, Browne, Kopitar...etc. etc. |

I don't ever see Suffolk as a viable option, TBH.
Place is in shambles, just like Nassau. |

None of them are a Viable option as long as Wang has his hard-on for Nassau.

I Say put them on Montauk Point. The scenery itself will sell. Of course we would only get like a hundred people to the games but that would be like a 95% in attendance right there.
OR we can do what the Devils did and put them in the ghetto. Downtown Bellport or Wyandanch. The excitement of mayeb getting shot everytime you go to a game will intrigue enough people, Plus whoever makes it to the game alive gets in free. I should be the marketing rep for this team |
