I want to know the schedule dammit! I got tickets for Games 3 & 4 and would like to know exactly when I'll need to make time.

Seriously!!! I guess the NY Rags and Caps are the most important teams left in the playoffs. Yotes/Preds will be the late game, it can't be that hard.

I think the Cup will have been handed out by the time we get the schedule for round 2

Hal Gill update? When are the boys heading out to PHX? Anyone think Trotz is going to switch line combos that favor PHX style compared to the Wings' style? Colin Wilson siting this series?

Lundqvist (Will win to due East Coast bias)
Rinne runner up again, much like Weber
Quick good year, but your team still finished 8th.

Too lazy to check - how did the Preds fare against the Coyotes during the Regular Season ? On the surface, I love this matchup from a Preds perspective, I think they win in 6.

Honestly, I think NBC likes the NY, Philly, Boston and LA markets (in that order) and will schedule their games accordingly (depending on which of those markets advance to the 2nd round). Caps are no longer the high-flying marketable team that they were two years ago, and the NHL probably gives zero consideration to the DC market.

Split 2-2. Phoenix was 2-1-1. One Preds win was a shootout.

Thanks. I know Smith was great against Chicago, but I think Rinne gives you a significant advantage in goal. I like every aspect of Nashville's game at least slightly better than Phoenix's. Not saying Phoenix can't win, just think that when it comes down to it Nashville has the edge.

NBC is pissed they are going to have to put NSH/PHX on national television.

Yeah, I think Nashville-Phoenix might have been the last matchup that NBC wanted (well, maybe they prefer that to a matchup involving a Canadian team).

Me too! I am actually traveling from Mass to Phoenix for games 1/2 and need to book a flight, damn it!!!

I wanted to post here to say congrats to Nashville for making it to second round and also to Rinne's nomination for Venzia. I hope we get some love out here in the West, where no one seems to think we know how to "play hockey", boring, etc etc etc.

The other thing I really wanted to say is, how nice it is to have good honest conversations with Nashville fans. The last series, it was all nastiness and insults. Nashville fans seem classy as does thier team! I just wanted to say it has been enjoyable with the congrats going back and forth and no crap. I am sure things will get "heated" as the series moves along, but I just don't see Nashville fans booing a Coyote as he gets up from the ice bleeding, as the classless Hawks fan did. Damn, they were booing their own team towards the end of the game instead of being proud of them getting into the playoffs to begin with! Oh well. Good luck Nashville, think it will be a great series!

Warning : this can change pretty quickly once the series starts regardless of the matchup/fanbases involved.

I completely agree I am dying to fly out to Phoenix and catch either game 1 or 2, But I need one of them to be either Saturday or afternoon game on Sunday. I don't think that is going to happen.

What do you expect, they are DAmn Yankees (the Y word can not be used without the obiligatory Damn ). Seriously, the majority of those booing are bandwagoners that have only jumped on during the "good" last few years and were never real fans of the Hawks. YOu dont see that so much with the Preds fans as there arent just as many bandwagoners.

Easy now, I am living in Yankee territory (not by choice), I am a transplant here from Phx. and cant wait to get back. Its costing a lot of cash to go to games 1/2, but I have been a fan for 15 yrs. of the coyotes and them getting to the 2nd round is almost as exciting for us as the SCF (ok, not really, but for us, pretty damn close)!!! The last team I would ever root for is the Bruins! And I have to listen to Jack Edward if I want to watch any hockey back here and that makes it even more painful. During the Blackhawks series, we had to listen to the Blackhawks announcers and that was most awful.

Oh I know, but the fans from both teams seem to be a little more classy so far. I just look forward to a good series by both teams. We have the best goalies in the league in my most humble opinion. It should be fun.
