Blog: Must-have hockey links on the web

In no particular order. If you want to add to the list, I will update this top post. I don't care too much about mainstream sites like NHL.com. Nobody's missing those. These are one-of-a-kind sites that are gems. Or pages on a mainstream site that are not easy to find. I also do not care much for opinion blogs. Those are really a dime-a-dozen. Most are wearing team-colored glasses.

Please don't quote the list.. Makes the thread really long.
Please report any dead or broken links!

It has all kinds of interesting stats and information. Adjusted hits, adjusted giveaways/takeaways, power rankings, player rankings based on statistical analysis, etc. You can directly link to their stat page here as well. If this was already mentioned my mistake. I did look through all the current links but I might've missed it.

No, and I have been looking for it too.

I see one problem with tracking this kind of thing: there is inconsistency when a player is healed, but still not playing. Maybe their replacement is doing a good job, so the coach keeps him out for a few more games. Is that a man-game lost? How about if a replacement player is injured, then the original comes back. Is the replacement player counted towards the man-games lost?

I think the "fudging" of those numbers isn't really significant to a teams overall man games lost. Even just a general stat for that would be sufficient to fans IMO.

Individually - the teams report injuries in the preview game notes.

Miller, Ohlund and Krajicek are out, but only Krajicek is shown on the IR list.

Now we just need someone to scan each Game Preview, and enter that info into a database... Care to volunteer?

Hell no - just so that Canucks and Flyers fans can moan about injuries causing their poor performance?
Of course, it could work to my advantage in proving that Pens have equal or more man games missed and are still at the top of their game

No.. I'm not a stats person/bean counter/techy
