I am thinking before this comes to a grinding halt player and team agree to nullify contract and he will be back in Russia. The only way he gets traded is if Vegas retains some salary and that is not likely. Since the KHL can not even talk to him until his contract is voided I think this is what will happen and he will be back in the USSR

Not if they can mutually agree to terminate his contract.

Good player but overrated and not deserving of all this dramatic coverage or the mudslinging towards Vegas management who have been successful with their own strategy (to the staggering dismay of idiotic armchair GMs). No NHL team should inconvenience themselves and contort their long term strategy to meet this Russians entitlement issues especially when his contract could still turn out to be more of a liability than an asset. Any blogger who insists they should is soft in the head and very naive about the bigger picture.

I assume you mean the near future because Kovy will be back next year for sure. Probably getting himself fitted for a Ranger uniform and some Rick Nash money right now.
