You are way overestimating the prospects in the Hawks system. Are there some nice players? Sure, but "brilliant" is going way too far.

So in your usual brilliant way you are saying the Sabre's should be excited to hire a guy that the Hawk's are about to fire????? What am I missing here...

I am stunned. This blog actually makes a little sense.

A couple of thoughts here:
Word in Chicago is that Quenneville is safe, not necessarily the assistants.
Not necessarily sure that the core is safe either -- especially Crawford. Nationally, Crawford does not get the respect he has earned.

Lol isn't Detroit hockey hell right now? Only good thing we can say about Detroit is that they are finally getting a new arena. Other then that half the city is a ghost town. But ya Buffalo's hockey hell.

Crawford isn't part of the core. Crawford is an average goalie. He's just as part of that core that Niemi was. They can do good with any goalie. Hell Darling outplayed him.

For what it's worth He's also been with the 'Hawks getting tutelage under Bowman. Supposedly the best GM in the league. I think different though.

Dinner is my favorite. The fact that he could'nt care less to even watch and correct a spelling error this bad is priceless. If Dineen does become head coach of this hockey team it would only be fitting to call him Dinner here
