I would have like the Wild to pick up Arco. Wild desperately need offensive bottom 6 help. Especially @ Center, and now especially with Cooke, Carter and Zucker out with injuries.

So with Ganger and Arco you guys now have the same depth at centre that edmonton did last year. Spoiler alert but it didn't work out so hot for the Oilers.

But, in true Oilers fashion, it will help in the quest for a first overall pick.

I personally think it was a mistake of Pitt to let him go like this. Good for you guys

I don't know about that... Draisaitl will probably be a good player someday...

So what would Arizona have offered up that matched the Buffalo package today?

A couple of days ago, Tanner and the Arizona die-hards suggested Vermette + 2nd round pick for Kane. I believe the logic was, "Kane has attitude problems! There's no way Winnipeg will get more than that for him!"

I politely responded that Winnipeg would get a far greater haul than that garbage platter for a 23-year old with top line potential. In fact, my exact suggestion was:

Yandle + Domi + 2nd for Kane + Bogosian

The Arizona diehards dismissed this suggestion as a ridiculous ploy from a vindictive troll. Turns out I was pretty close. In fact, I'd say the Buffalo package is superior to that one...

Why do you keep putting an s at the end of diehard?

I don't think that package would have worked for Winnipeg anyways, they wanted NHL bodies for a playoff push.

Vermette instead of Stafford, A second instead of a late first, Lessio, Perlini and Yandle?

But they probably felt that was too high, since I think if that was on the table, that's better than what Buffalo paid, isn't it?

Plus, I am not sure the Coyotes would want anything to do with Bogosian's contract.

Who knows, all I do know is that i definitely was wrong with my guess of Vermette and a second. Hahaha what an idiot!!

Well credit for a good guess, but you aren't exactly very friendly or anything so that might be a hint at why people dismissed your suggestions. If you did, I imagine you might be making this up!

I think the Buffalo trade is better for Winnipeg. They need forwards and have more than enough defensemen.

I was referring to the prospects involved. Armia is going to be a stud imo.

Actually you might be surprised but I really don't think that. I even once wrote a Pulitzer Prize worthy article about how Craig Button was overrating him.

I think Yandle is worlds better than Myers. However Myers is signed for 4 more seasons after this one at only 5.5 million whereas Yandle is about to get a big pay raise after next season. If Tyler Myers hits his potential, playing with Byfuglein, Enstrom and Trouba should help, then Cheveldayoff will look like a genius.

Stafford is again worse than Vermette but age can be a factor here. Stafford is 29 vs Vermette at 32 which is a small difference but if we were to look at resigning one of them Stafford is the more attractive option age-wise. Vermette is also a center and more valuable than Stafford.

The big thing for me is that the prospects from Buffalo are better imo than the ones from Arizona that you offered. Also the 1st from Buffalo is better than a 2nd from Arizona.

i love this post.

"my biased opinion is way more valid than your biased opinion."

I love that he used the term " in reality".
whos reality? yours? forgive me if that doesn't convince me.

considering you don't know that lessio and perlini are both forwards, I'm not sure what you're basing that on.

Come on....I'm kinda friendly, no?

I think it's more a case of people not liking my suggestions because they often aren't pro-Arizona. For example, when I say that you overrate OEL to an insane degree, I'm not being rude. It's just what I think

Regardless, I'm gonna be friendlier now
