I love a GM who can make a bold faced lie right to the media and not even blink. That is savvy. |

Ryan Wilson: Jim Rutherford Says Fleury Is His Guy. Is He Really? - Ryan_Wilson
He has no choice but to say that if asked. If he middle grounds it, now in the season, that looks bad, and cripples any trade value Fleury would have.
And, Greiss is untested in Pittsburgh in the regular season.... I assume we will see him Thursday? |

Some here talk about Fleury like he's a piece of crap. He's not. He's a starter in this league. He's not a problem for us IMO. Johnston's style of coaching will prove this. |

Speaking of goalies, I think Zatkoff just blew out his right knee tonight. |

I think Rutherford can't wait to get rid of Fleury. If he wanted him he would have signed him already. I have my fingers crossed this coach and gm will only be here for this year and by some sort of miracle Babcock comes in to replace them. The only reason those 2 were hired were because management was turned down by better qualified candidates |

I didn't see him on the roster sheet... Might be in Wheeling? Matt Murray is in now. |

Why don't arenas play "if you want blood" by AC/DC more often ? Seems like an appropriate song ?! |

Yay! Let's root for a disaster year just to get a coach who has won less playoff series in the past 6 years than Dan Bylsma...

What is this ridiculous obsession with Babcock? It's been going on since Bylsma was fired. |

MAF could be resigned to something small like 3yrs@5mil.. that way he is tradable. once Jarry starts in wbs he will see NHL time soon after |

Nice change of topic.
I want him to stay because he is my favorite player, but unless he.....
Well there is no need to have him stay, hey HE may be dealt at the deadline for forward assets if our back up really shines. |

The only problem with that NH is his cap hit is too high, cap going up or not, that is the argument with MAF, his hit is too high for his output.
Hey 3x$2M and you'd have a deal, but no way MAF will take that, because that is what his output is worth.
Hey may carry this team to the playoffs and then outperform his previous runs and win a cup, but what he will ask in salary will mean the Penguins should move on. |

Pens will resign him for sure. Look at the ufa goalies for next year. The only goalie we may rather have on that list is Niemi. He is 2 years older than flower and probably cost just as much. Sign fleury to a 3 year deal and hopefully jarry will be ready when #29's contract expires. |
