I guess I'm the only one that wants Brunner to stay. But he had flashes of greatness last year, then maybe went dormant. But what if we could reproduce that? Ryder is getting up there, I could see trading him though he's gotta get more goals this year! Why don't we trade Bernier??? And Salvador, but that's on D. And I thought Tim Thomas showed he could still play last year, and whack people in the head! For a nominal fee... Gotta be better than Clemmensen and he won't complain about games, just the current political establishment |

Oh... And we should pick up Loktionov lol that would just be hilarious and embarrassing for Carolina. Didn't we trade you for Ruutu? Welcome back! |

I have never from day one understood what it was people saw in Brunner he doesn't have a strong shot he isn't the best stick handler but I will say he is slightly better then Ryder in that department but he has no clue where he is supposed to be and does nothing but skate up and down the ice really fast which last I checked doesn't really score you goals the guy is 29 and I doubt he gets any better. The guy was brought in to score goals and by that account Ryder did better then him. They both need to go but I can't see the case that Ryder was less useful when he scored more goals and I believe took less penalties but I could be wrong about that |

Ryder brings nothing aside from his shot. Absolutely nothing.
Brunner actually does have a pretty sneaky shot, although not as good as Ryders. He's fast and he's creative, two things this team desperately lacks at forward. |

Well Detroit ditched him and they're a pretty smart team... But I'm just judging by that small streak he had going I guess before he got hurt last year. I liked Michael Ryder YEARS ago. .. I thought Jersey had a hell of a team last year that just needed to click more. Someone was trying to teach them to bank it in off the post, instead of aiming for the net. Either way, with Schneider, I think we'll be a force to reckon with! I'm curious what the hell they're gonna do about our forward situation though... We're waiting, Lou! |

He's got his strengths. His speed for one. Frankly, I think he's one of the better stick handlers on the team as well. And when he's on, he racks up shots, which is something we need. The problem is he gets lost when he doesn't have the puck on his stick and he's maddeningly inconsistent. Ryder is at least a little better without the puck, though not a lot. I'm not cheering for a Brunner trade, but I won't exactly be staying awake at night missing him. |

I hope so! Kinkaid over Clemmensen, please! I will be pissed if we have Clemmensen as our backup... Can we just put an inflatable goalie in net and have 6 players? |

If the Devils sign Carter for around 1 million and Gelinas for around 2 million, trade Ryder and Brunner They will have in the neighborhood of 7 million in cap space, more than enough to bring in Thomas or Bryzgalov to back up Cory if Kinkaid and Clemmenson show they can't handle it. |

Someone needs to go and Brunner is definitely on the chopping block.
If we could move him AND Ryder there would be quite a bit of cap space to have some fun with.

Lou has to move someone.
Ray Whitney is still available. Lou's just working on opening up a roster spot for him. |

But Thomas or Bryzgalov won't come with drama and messing with Schneider's head |
