Flyers Shipped out Hartnell because they didn't like his commitment to conditioning but they will sign Penner a guy even worse in terms of conditioning? I call bull. Penner isn't that good anymore. He had a hot streak last season but he couldn't hold down the top line minutes playing with Getzlaf and Perry. As the Flyers lineup is currently set

Simmonds - Giroux - Voracek
Schenn - Lecavalier - Read
Umberger - Coots - Raffl
Rinaldo - White - Akeson/Rosehill

As you can see Penner fits nowhere and would not be an upgrade anywhere.

what about kadri and Reimer to sj for couture, Pavelski, Hertl and Stalock

EDIT: Actually a Reimer for Neimi wouldn't be such a bad deal. Both goalies probably need a change in scenery

Great defenseman who spent his best years on a crappy Seals them . And who can forget those skates ?

Just because they aren't willing to pay an out of shape guy almost five million doesn't mean they won't pay one a million not really the same thing as penned also wouldn't be signed till forever if he earns a contract

Surprises me that Philly never made a move to acquire E. Kane. He is built to play on that team in every respect.

It has more to do with Hartnell not being able to stay out of the box, nor having any inclination to try and improve on this aspect of his game.
