Shocking, neh a positive word to be found towards one of our players. But yes, you should hope some of your players get to where he is. Bouma certainly isn't an elite skilled type forward, well, he's certainly no Taylor Hall. But he brings something that any team with championship hopes needs, functional toughness and balls to the wall heart and soul. THAT is something you guys have been missing for some time.

I love Bouma. I really hope that he re-signs after this season but my feeling is that he won't. The guy is pure heart and soul and he even has a little scoring touch as well (as much as a 4th liner can have). To me, he's one of the guys you build a championship team around, someone that'll lay his body on the line night in and night out for the team. Yeah you need scorers, good goalies, and top defenseman but you also have to have a guy like Bouma. Here's hoping he has a great year and re-signs after!

I was at the calg-van game in van on March 8th (I think) quite a few brews in me obviously, and on one shift I remember bouma blocking, literally no joke, at least 5 shots. I think he might have only been credited for like 2 on the whole game. I was chanting his name, and subsequently wasn't shanked because all the bandwagon van fans had already given up on the season lol
