I want to see Cracknell in a Canes jersey next year. He's a good bottom 9 guy with great size and decent intangibles. He's physical and goes to the net. Could work well with Gerbe on a lower line.

Brian Boyle as 3rd center would be huge (pun intended). Wishing thinking, but my guess is some team throws big money at him and he's gone. He'll likely get 3M to 4M in the Western conference where they value size and great hands. Can see him on the Kings or Hawks next year, in fact.

I am not sure he fits on the Canes. He is more of the pure rugged checking line center. That fits well on top heavy teams with 2 high power scoring lines, but with the Canes makeup that has Jordan Staal a little light offensively in trade for defense, I think the Canes need more scoring from their 3rd line.

I agree in some ways. I feel like he is not a fit for the team, but he does have 20 goal potential, and he's stated that he wants the opportunity to do more than NY had him shoehorned into. I just think he will price himself out of our league.
