Assuming neither of these guys end up in jail for some white collar crime we don't know about (not implying anything, just speaking from experience in Buffalo), this will be the best thing to happen to the Islanders since the 80s. |

Howard Dolgon seems promising as an owner. Seems to like hockey. |

Sadly, I cannot see a sale happening quick enough to have a new GM and coach in place by the summer. |

As soon as sale goes through Snow is gone. No new owner is keeping these guys more than a day. |

I can't wait.
The Ducks look to be rolling. Tell us, what's it like to root for a successful team? |

It feels good but at the end of the day the Isles will always be my #1 choice. Its going to be fun in a few years to have these young guys in their prime with an owner that will spend. |

Man I hope so. The fans have been through so much with this team. I won't let myself get my hopes up too high. However, I can't imagine a new owner will be any worse than what we've been through. |

Any owner/next person should be better, we all knew Wang liked the islanders and saved them from moving but his true interest was real-estate and the potential of the lighthouse project. The project failed, Wang failed, lease is horrible = Time to move on |

Did wang really keep the team here? I mean sure brooklyn is technically Long Island, but we all know its gonna be different.
I'm def not getting my hopes up about a sale but I personally did not re new my season tickets and will not with wang/snow/capuano at the helm.
In order to win you need winners. Garth snow would never GM any other team and Jack Capuano would never be a head coach on any other NHL team......yet SOMEHOW they are with the isles. Aren't people tired talking about who the isles will draft 5th overall??? |

Agreed. I think it's crazy that wang couldn't get a deal done for a new arena and chose to relocate the team to an urban area (long term) yet he has no stake in the team if he sells. Once again, we as fans get the short end.

Dan Petriw: who owns the Isles? OWNS! - Dan Petriw
This isles situation reminds me when milbury was at the end of his tenure. I remember thinking "how could this guy still have a job". I think the exact same thing with regards to snow and capuano. There is zero evidence to support the employe met of these two. The only explication is Wang really wants out and is just letting things be status quo until he is officially out. |

This whole thing is Wangs fault!!!
Snow would be better at his job if he had the same money to spend and Philly, Rangers, Maple Leafs, etc...
Could you imagine what he could do if he was the GM of Toronto... they would have won the Cup for them.

I blame Kate Murray and co more than Charles. No reason for Charles to pay for a building he does not own. |

I'm not sure snow would win anywhere. He's learning on the job and it shows. 7-8 years into Garth's self proclaimed "5 year plan" and they're STILL looking for a starting franchise goalie. Here's a thought.....when Cory Schneider was available why wasn't that priority number 1? That first rounder the isles gave away to buffalo to rent vanek for the year woulda landed Schneider in a package deal. Another fail by Garth. |

That's not entirely accurate. The problem was wang wanted a mini city and the county did not. This had nothing to do with an arena. |

Snow tried for Schneider and the deal almost happened, the issue was that Vancouver coveted Bo Horvat soooo much that the deal w/Devils made more sense for them bc Vancouver didn't think Horvat would be available at 15. So in hindsight we almost had a chance. |
