Dee Karl: Frans Nielsen Remarks to the Media
Heartfelt. - Dee Karl
Last blog you were feeding at the trough believing the injury BS that management spoon fed you. Now this. These guys don't care like they should. If they did we would be in the playoffs. Winning is not of importance to this team. That runs right down from management all the way down to the players. Losing is OK with these guys look no further than the incompetent coach your bud Snow just endorsed for next season. Do you know anything about hockey? Did you watch the same team I did this past season? Did you see the defense collapsing in the blue paint 5 or 6 times a game like i did along with the rest of the team? That's bad coaching right there along with multiple other examples which I'm sure flew right over your head. Yeah, they're upset. The problem is they're not upset about losing like someone who really wants to win would be. That's the very reason why this team needs to clean house from the incompetent manager to the half wit bush league coach behind the bench. The funny thing is you probably don't have a clue what I'm talking about or you think I'm nuts and this seasons failure was a result of injuries and bad luck. How many more lackluster seasons can you believe this BS before you question your own judgement? That's the problem with "fans" like you. You think you know better but you know little to nothing about the sport and what it takes to succeed in this league. You have the same arrogance that Snow has. Knows better than everyone else yet his record doesn't dictate that does it? Kind of like the your blogs. The only thing consistent about this regime is them embarrasing the fan base. Stop feeding at the trough. It's people like you that facilitate this BS and these bush league clowns. |

If she were a Flyers blogger you'd be just as fed up if not more than every single one of us are. |

That's probably true, I just don't read her enough, or follow the Islanders enough to know whether she's talking out of her ass or not, is she really that bad? Also thank god we've got Metzler's daily blogs. |

As a fan you try to stay optimistic and make the most of it:
-They have a nice new cast of young defensemen with more waiting in the wings (pun?)
-Anders Nilsson actually looks like an NHL goalie now.
-Nabby actually finished healthy.
-Some vet UFA goalie may step up to the challenge of playing here.
-The young players look like they have strong mature bodies; perhaps ready to play an 82 (80) game campaign like Franz did.
-I think some of the comments above about how the d collapses is valid and even if they don't replace Cappy, maybe they can hire an NHL vet coach who can watch the game tapes for him. |

I hope Snow is smoking more crack, and trades this guy to the oilers for a pair of shoes. I think this guys is a perfect top 9 center, who can jump up, and play in the top 6 from time to time. Give you Gags for free, so him and Tavares can play in the pond during winter. |

I seriously doubt the Oilers would trade their best players for Nielsen |

What really hurt this team was the injuries on defense and to Nabby which is why I'm optimistic about a young defense and young goaltender capable of playing at this level. Ditto a group of young forwards now physically mature enough to play the full season. I don't think Nilsson belongs back in the AHL.
No guarantee that they are now a top eight team but they did show alot of progress.
BTW Pulock finished 4th in WHL Defense Scoring and Reinhart is carying his team in the WHL playoffs. |

Funny isn't it...Moulson traded in the playoffs, Vanek walks in the playoffs, AMac sent to Philly in the playoffs...Streit also. Key players not good enough for Charles and Snowjob..but they're good enough to play for playoff teams...truly sad what Charles has done to this franchise. He sits in his ivory tower,,,just sits there. No accountability...nothing. |

I think the Islanders got good value back for AMAC and I wouldn't want to be paying both AMAC and Streit the money with years that the Flyers are paying them anyway.
