If Miller never wanted 30 to begin with and he switched to 39 as soon as he left Buffalo, there is no reason whatsoever that the new guy should not wear 30.
No big deal. |

Just heard Garth Snow interviewed on the Fan590 in Toronto. Said: "the 2014 draft is relatively weak" and they "had until June 1st to decide" ..interesting |

NHL will award Devils with the 30th pick in the Draft instead of the 1st round pick as usually determined. Also forgiving $1.5 mil of fine.

So why aren't the Sabres keeping 88 on ice for Patrick Kane?
Mogilny? Seriously. If thats the case why is Mitchell (and Omark!) wearing 17...don't you think Mike Foligno deserve some credit to? Glad Cody McCormick is gone...Tony McKegney should be pissed that his 8 was being used! And get 1 off of Enroth...don't want to upset Donnie Edwards! And where did Miller get off on wearing 30 anyways...THAT's TOM BARRASSO'S number! Its a number! |

It's fine. Moulson wore 26 after Vanek was here for 9yrs. |

Weak or not, I bet he keeps the pick if they are drafting top 3. |

Like I've said all along there is no way we get their 2015 1st as they will be terrible next year too. McDavid is the prize. |

And miss out on McDavid or Eichel next year? Not a chance. |

If he is allowed to make that decision the Islanders are going to be in a terrible spot regardless!! How Garth snow keeps a job is beyond me. |

How do we know they'll even be in the running? Their roster with a few tweaks could probably pull out of bottom 5. Having John Tavares certainly helps with that. The odds of them finishing low enough to even challenge for them isn't very good vs finishing the rest of this year without JT probably gives them a real shot at Ekblad. |

Cant fathom how we have talked about numbers this much already. You would think we were the Yankees withall these numbers we "wont let" people wear. SO if we win a cup is every number on that team unuseable after that. |

He probably thought he was so clever making that pick conditional but all that moron did was put himself in a no win situation. Either he keeps the pick this year and gives up the 2015 which could lead to us getting an incredible haul at the draft.
OR, he decides to keep the pick in 2015 and gives away a top 3 pick, as if they can afford a PR nightmare of that magnitude.

They need 4 dmen 2 goalies a top line RW and an entire 2nd line. They will not miss out on the chance to win the lottery in 2015. |
