It's the simplest move.. You can't bench someone.. Somebody had to be removed from the roster and when that's the case the guy who doesn't have to clear is the guy who gets sent down. Halmo will be back, I don't think there is much of a story here

I have no doubt it's a lack of faith in being able to sign anyone. Vanek leaving just plays into it. I'll still take my chances with a guy like Reinhart or even Mayfield over giving Amac 25 mill.

Giving Amac that deal would be one of the worse contracts in the league and beyond stupid... Spending for the sake of spending is horrible business... The isles will be 6-8 under and have to resign Cizikas, CDH, Nilsson and Donovan.. That should get half of it done right there. They will bring in a goalie and 2/3 other players so I don't the see the floor as an issue

July 1st will come & go with only draft picks added to the system.
