Frans Nielsen has been removed from the Injured Reserve list and will be in the lineup today as the Islanders square off against the Florida Panthers at the Coliseum. To make room for Nielsen on the roster the Islanders have returned Mike Halmo to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.

Before we all freak out this was the simplest roster move to make. Halmo will return once their is room on the roster which will most likely be on Wednesday. I have been told that anyone that is not deemed in the long term plans of this team is being shopped. Besides the obvious moves of Thomas Vanek and Andrew MacDonald I have been told that Islanders General Manager Garth Snow has shopped struggling forwards Josh Bailey and Colin McDonald. I'm not saying they will be moved only that they are being offered around the league.

Once all the moves are made by Wednesday expect to see Halmo and Matt Donovan return from Bridgeport. This move today was made because it was the one that did not require anyone to be waived or clear to report to the AHL.
